The Russian singing collective "Otrada" was founded in the year 2013 in Antwerp. The musical leader of the ensemble, Elena Borisenko, earned her academical degree at the Moscow State University of Culture and Arts and thus earned her spurs as a Music Teacher and as a conductor of various school orchestras.

The repertoire of "Otrada" consists of songs from the USSR period and traditional Russian folklore.

Russian folklore consists of songs from different regions and peoples living in Russia; these songs often deal with important events in human life such as marriage, birth and the change of the seasons.

These songs are therefore accompanied by folk instruments and traditional dances.

“Otrada” has developed an interactive game program for the elders and the youngsters, where everyone is involved in active participation in the process of the ensemble's performance in the hall and on stage. The singing, dancing and colorful appearance with clothing representing the various regions of Russia, assures a wonderful mood for our listeners.

Our listeners will love the Russian songs after the first acquaintance with it, and learn to understand such a complex, but infinitely deep genre, like Russian folklore.
